Hi, my name is Jess. I’m from Yorkshire, and have been based in Leeds for the past fifteen years or so. I am a Chartered librarian, have an MSc in Information and Library Management, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education. Currently I work as a Subject Librarian in HE.

Professionally I am treasurer for my local ARLG Committee, am Sponsor Relations Officer for the LILAC conference, and am one of the co-founders of LISDIS. My publications in LIS can be accessed through the University of Huddersfield repository. My teaching blog, where I share reflections of activities within Information Literacy classrooms, can be found here.

My first degree is in Creative Writing, and I have written a fair bit, mostly for LeedsBookClub and ForBooksSake. I’ve also had writing on The GuardianCILIP and other book blogs. I am also a crafter, my main interest being in cross stitch and crochet. I tweet under @BookElfLeeds. I regularly appear on the LeedsBookClub podcast, as I still read a great deal-though I am no longer book blogging.
